Asia will dominate international LNG regasification capability additions via 2027, says GlobalData

“India and China will primarily drive the LNG regasification additions in Asia via 2027, accounting for practically 56% of the entire capability additions by 2027. Rising fuel demand from each home and industrial sectors and the power transition targets would be the key drivers of regasification capability additions in these nations,” stated Bhargavi Gandham, Oil & Fuel Analyst at GlobalData.

China will dominate LNG regasification additions in Asia, accounting for practically 34% of the entire capability additions by 2027. Zhoushan II and Tangshan II are the biggest upcoming tasks within the nation, with a capability of 584.4 billion ft3 every.

GlobalData identifies India because the second highest contributor to the Asia LNG regasification capability additions, accounting for about 22% of the capability additions by 2027. Jafrabad Floating within the state of Gujarat would be the most important driver of the LNG regasification capability additions within the nation, with a capability of 487.0 billion ft3 by 2027.

Bhargavi concluded: “The Philippines ranks third in Asia, contributing about 10% of the area’s LNG regasification capability additions throughout the outlook interval. Santa Rita in Bataan is the biggest upcoming regasification terminal within the nation with a capability of 256.2 billion ft3 by 2027.”
