AM Green has broken ground on its 1.5 million tonne per year (mtpa) green hydrogen-based ammonia plant in Kakinada, India, as it eyes first production by mid 2027.
The Greenko spin-out started construction on the first phase of the mega project at the site formerly owned by Nagarjuna Fertilizers, which is lined up to supply volumes of green ammonia to Europe.
By mid 2027, AM Green expects to begin producing 0.5 mtpa of green ammonia ahead of reaching full production.
