Fluxys Hydrogen starts first phase of hydrogen pipeline build-out | Hydrogen
First phase work is now underway on the hydrogen pipeline network of Belgium hydrogen network operator Fluxys Hydrogen, with 2026 targeted for completion. The pipeline will be gradually expanded in the coming years and form part of the European Hydrogen Backbone. This aims to connect the key ports and trading areas of Antwerp, Ghent, Kallo and Zelzate. Belgium has characterised the the pipeline as essential for decarbonising industry. Last April, Fluxys Hydrogen, a subsidiary of Fluxys, was appointed as the operator responsible for the development and management of the open-access hydrogen transport network.
