Nikkiso and WestAir to develop hybrid hydrogen station in California | Hydrogen

Energy solutions specialist Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG) and industrial gas distributor WestAir have partnered to develop a hybrid hydrogen trailer and fuelling station. Located near the Port of Long Beach – one of the busiest seaports in the US – the station is designed to reduce boil-off gas losses to near zero, fuel vehicles directly through an H35 dispenser, and fill trailers for onward distribution. The dual-function design helps to minimise hydrogen loss and supports flexible distribution across the region. Nikkiso CE&IG and WestAir hope the multi-use station will help build momentum behind southern California’s hydrogen market. According to H2 Stations data, as of February, California has 74 operational hydrogen stations. Chris Castiglione, Energy Specialist at WestAir Gases & Equipment, emphasized the strategic location near the port, saying the facility… Read More »Nikkiso and WestAir to develop hybrid hydrogen station in California | Hydrogen
