Aslan to supply 100,000 tonnes of green hydrogen to CalYan

Aslan Energy Capital (Aslan) will supply California’s CalYan XGH with 100,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually from its green hydrogen plant in Sonora, Mexico. The plans were confirmed with a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), through which Aslan will be responsible for hydrogen delivery to the Southern California board. CalYan will manage downstream distribution and infrastructure within California. Aslan hopes its Aslan Net-Zero Energy Mexico (ANEM) project will be operational by 2028. The plant will harness Sonora’s abundant solar energy to power electrolysers for sustainable hydrogen production. The 35,000-hectare project, situated along the coastline of Sonora near Puerto Lobos, benefits from deepwater marine access.
