Messer supplies hydrogen and refuelling tech for 26-strong bus fleet in Germany | Hydrogen


Industrial gas major Messer has provided the hydrogen and refuelling technology for new hydrogen-powered fuel cell hybrid buses that were launched yesterday (2 June) in Kerpen (North Rhine-Westphalia), Germany.

According to public transport company Rhein-Erft-Verehrsgesellschaft (REVG), which will operate the vehicles, the 26 buses will fully replace the current diesel engine-powered fleet by the end of this month.

The new buses have a range of up to 350km per tank and will be refuelled at a hydrogen filling station supplied by Messer at the REVG site.
