Sustainable fuels specialist NXTClean Fuels will license technology from energy transition technology provider Topsoe for its Oregon-based diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant.
Topsoe has signed a deal to supply its HydroFlex, SynCOR, and H2bridge technologies and catalysts to support the production of 50,000 barrels of renewable diesel and SAF a day.
The supplied technologies will convert fats and oils into renewable diesel and SAF, produce hydrogen efficiently, and recycle process gases into green hydrogen to reduce fossil use.
Pending a final investment decision, the project is expected to be operational by 2029.
