Air Liquide ‘investing as planned’ on $850m Texas air gases project | large modular air separation units

Industrial gas major Air Liquide has said it remains confident about the status of its commitment to build, own, and operate four large modular air separation units for the ExxonMobil low-carbon hydrogen project that is planned for Baytown, Texas, in the US. On the company’s latest earnings call, Adam Peters, CEO for Air Liquide North America, said the $850m project was moving forward as planned, with $275m of capital spend now committed. “Our confidence [in the project and its progress] remains very strong,” said Peters. “We have followed probably 25 different projects along the [US] Gulf Coast that are related to ammonia.
