Plans for UK East Coast hydrogen pipeline move ahead | Hydrogen


UK gas distribution firm Cadent has unveiled plans for a 140km purpose-built hydrogen pipeline which would connect energy intensive industries in the Humberside and East Midlands regions of the UK.

Major employers that will connect to the pipeline come from steelmaking, lime and brick manufacturing, chemicals and food & drink.

The East Coast Hydrogen Pipeline (ECHP) proposal comes as HyMarnham Power, one of the first projects from the UK Government Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 (HAR1), is set to go live this autumn.
