The UK’s energy intensive industries could see bills fall by around 10-to-15% following a £28bn grid upgrading investment which includes £20m funding for biomethane. Most of the funding (£17.8bn) will go towards maintaining Britain’s gas networks. The approved investment will fund 80 transmission projects and associated works nationwide over the next five years.
