Yanbu green ammonia plant should be financed this year | Ammonia

 A green ammonia plant at the Yanbu green hydrogen project in Saudi Arabia is poised to reach a final investment decision this year and start operations in 2030, according to Danish electrolyser firm Topsoe. The company has been appointed ammonia technology licensor by Saudi Arabia-headquartered utility ACWA Power, and it will also deliver engineering, proprietary equipment and catalysts to Sinopec and Tecnicas Reunidas, which have jointly been awarded the front end engineering design contract. Samsung E&A breaks ground on Indiana ammonia project | Ammonia

Engineering and project management firm Samsung E&A has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Wabash low-carbon ammonia project in Indiana, US. The project, to be built in Terre Haute, will produce up to 500,000 tonnes of ammonia and capture 1.67 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The ceremony was held in Washington DC. It is being funded by the US Department of Energy, the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment. Samsung E&A signed an engineering, procurement, and fabrication contract worth approximately KRW680bn (approximately $475m) with Wabash Valley Resources in October last year.
