Russia LNG checks to rise as EU gets tough | Europe

The European Commission has set out legislation to phase out Russian gas by the end of 2027 and will step up tracing and monitoring to minimise circumvention with liquefied natural gas (LNG). While Europe recently introduced its 18th package of sanctions, EU imports of Russian LNG rose 18% to 24.2 bcm last year.
