Topsoe promotes CCO to new President and CEO | New Appointments

Elena Scaltritti, currently Chief Commercial Officer at Danish technology firm Topsoe, has been appointed President and CEO from 1 June. She replaces Roeland Bann, who steps down after six years. Scaltritti joined Topsoe in 2022 and has been responsible for growing low-carbon and renewable fuels alongside conventional business. Previously she was Executive Vice President at Songwon Industrial Group. Hydrogen and ammonia gain from high efficiency electrolysis | Hydrogen

Ceres is developing its solid oxide electrolyser cell (SOEC) technology for low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia production, citing efficiency and thermal integration benefits. Speaking in gasworld’s webinar, ‘Hydrogen and ammonia: cracking the future of clean energy’, Deepak Mistry, Strategic Business Development Director at Ceres, outlined how the company’s technology could reduce both capital and operational costs while supporting industries where electrification is not an option.
