Topsoe launches 500MW electrolyser facility in Denmark | Technology Gas News

Denmark-based energy transition technology provider Topsoe has launched a solid oxide electrolyser cell manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 500MW, with the option to scale further. The new site is located in Herning, Denmark, and represents the company’s single biggest investment to date. It is supported by €94m from the EU Innovation Fund. The electrolyser stacks will be used to produce green hydrogen, a feedstock for ammonia and e-methanol which can be used to reduce emissions across industrial sectors. Delays cause Topsoe sales slide but key plant nearly complete | Finance

Delayed projects led to revenues in Danish green tech business Topsoe’s catalyst and technology businesses falling by 10% and 14% respectively in the first half of 2025. Overall revenues amounted to DKK3,679m ($571.8m) compared with DKK4,150m ($645m) in the same period in 2024.
