Europe to invest €2.9bn in industrial carbon reduction projects | Europe
The European Commission is to invest €2.9bn in funding 61 carbon reduction projects. The funding will come from the Innovation Fund, using up to €40bn in revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System. The selected projects, drawn from 359 applications, span 19 industrial sectors and focus on energy-intensive industries, renewable energy and energy storage, net zero mobility and buildings, cleantech manufacturing, and industrial carbon management.
