European refiners may hold the key to scaling green hydrogen, according to a new Wood Mackenzie report. As significant emitters of carbon dioxide, refineries are rarely mentioned in a green or decarbonisation context – but upcoming regulatory changes mean their repositioning provides new opportunities for the beleaguered hydrogen sector to grow.
