Linde Lucknow site begins operations | India Gas News

Linde India has started commercial production at its new gas facility in Unnao, Lucknow, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The plant will support industrial and medical requirements, and raise storage, handling and distribution capabilities. Construction began in April 2022. The opening is the latest in a line of developments in the fast-growing Indian market. Last week the industrial gases major announced it is advancing plans for a new production plant in Dholera, Gujarat, to meet demand from India’s emerging semiconductor and electronics sector. The plant will produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon in undisclosed quantities to serve upcoming electronics projects regionally. Linde’s other facilities in India include air separation units for Tata Steel in Odisha and a contract to supply industrial gases to the Panipat refinery in Haryana.
